This past Sunday we attended Laces Out, a sneaker expo, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The host Mark Champion put together an awesome inaugural event at The House of Rock with plenty of crazed sneakerheads in the building! The video below is a quick video I put together during the event’s setup. Unfortunately, I was at the booth most of the night so I couldn’t get more footage. The background music is courtesy of Million Monkey sponsored artists Trizzol and Hittaville. Enjoy!!
I am a little behind on this, but better late then never!! 2010 came and went extremely fast and it included excitement, learning experiences, networking, new friends, and many more. Million Monkey officially hit the scene in March at SneakerPalooza held by Julio and Fabby Rodriguez of Sole Boutique. I had already been marketing Million Monkey Clothing and met Sole Junkie online. I decided to fly him out to attend the event and made a friend and mentor for life! I met a few other influential people at SneakerPalooza who I call my FRIENDS today. Those friends are Trung and the crew at LoyalKNG, John Southee with Kaught Looking, and Ha with Fur Face Boy. The next event up for Million Monkey was the Low Low Car Show at Camargo Park at the end of March. It was at this event that I met 98.5 THE BEAT’s very own Xavier the Freakin Rican, freestyle genius Ray C, and DJ Robbie Rob. After this initial meeting Xavier, Ray C, and Robbie Rob have all showed Million Monkey love and support! At the Low Low Car Show I teamed up with the Audio Renegades to set up shop and network with customers and fans. Next up for Million Monkey was a month that saw me posted up in a hospital bed for a few days with surgery on my eye. Only good thing

Make sure you come by and support this awesome event and day of art, sneaker culture, music, and fun!! San Antonio’s DJ DJ, a sneaker aficionado himself and Hip Hop DJ, has created the SU4 Mixtape. This mixtape features a Who’s Who of local artist ranging from Audio Renegades and Chiefa da Mayor to Gab, Swiffa, Question and more!!!
